Wright started Flying Fox LLC in June 2020.  Wright is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Design.  He graduated in June 1991 and has spent his career in design and engineering.  In addition to his expertise in these areas, he also has great knowledge of materials and processes.

After 25 years in the demanding retail display and fixture industry Wright decided it was time to branch out on his own and fulfill a dream of designing and building his teardrop camper.  Thus, Flying Fox was born. Wright wanted to bring a fresh retro design aesthetic to the classic teardrop trailer.  He has utilized computer aided design to build a classic, sturdy and efficient trailer. 

 

Daughter Julia is the talent behind the graphics and interior design for Flying Fox. She has taken the reigns for designing the company logo, staging, and photo shoots.  Julia will graduate from University of North Georgia in May, 2021.  Julia also maintains the FaceBook and Instagram accounts.

 

There will be future models and iterations of our teardrop since innovation will continue to be key to the evolution of Flying Fox.  When you look at our current design you will see that we already offer features other teardrop manufacturers don't offer.  Our exclusive underfloor storage with convertible jump seats is one such innovation that sets our trailers apart.  The back pass through from the galley into the camper is another.

Wright supports and has partnered with local vendors in the Chattanooga area to manufacture the components for his product.
